Finally, after several date changes, we were able to take the trip we had been waiting for. We explored the logistical details and, incidentally, the area, its landscapes, and its birds as the main attraction of this four-day expedition/trip along the Lima–Huánuco–Cerro de Pasco–Lima route.
The points of interest were the Unchog forests, the ACR (Regional Conservation Area) Carpish montane forest, and several must-see stops located northeast of Lima, in the province of Oyón. This expedition allowed us to familiarize ourselves with the route, in addition to verifying a number of bird species of interest, and providing information for interested clients who will be traveling with us in the near future.
Many kilometers were covered, resulting in more than 200 recorded bird species. A big thank you to Ángel Cárdenas and Leo González, friends and excellent professionals who accompanied us on this adventure.
